Follow these steps to add your vehicle and open up new features: • Tap the "Add Vehicle" link near the top of the "Vehicle" screen • Connect your phone to your vehicle via USB to automatically transfer your vehicle information, or manually enter the last 7 characters of your vehicle identification number (VIN) – this can be found in your BMW service agreement or at the base of your car’s windshield (in North America) • Select Primary or Secondary user account – choose Primary unless another user is already linked to the same vehicle (this step is only applicable to users in North America; please disregard if you are located outside of North America) • Locate the code sent to your vehicle under the "Messages" folder within the "ConnectedDrive" menu • Input the code into the app where prompted Once this process has been completed there may be a waiting period while the vehicle you have inputted is confirmed and displayed on the "Vehicle" screen. Note: After purchasing a new vehicle there is a standard account set-up period, during which time your ConnectedDrive account is linked to your new vehicle. Therefore, please wait a few days after the purchase date before attempting to add your vehicle in the app.

A BMW ConnectedDrive Account is required. Your vehicle must be able to use ConnectedDrive. For vehicles with a construction date before 3/2012 the SA 612 (BMW Assist) is required. For vehicles with a construction date after 3/2012 the SA 6AK (ConnectedDrive Services) is required.

In some cases, vehicles older than model year 2014 may not be equipped with the technology necessary to support the app, and therefore cannot be added in the app. If you have a 2014 or newer vehicle and are experiencing an error, log out of the app from the “Profile” page within the “More” tab, then log back in again. Alternatively, you can try adding your vehicle from the BMW ConnectedDrive web portal (www.bmw-connecteddrive.com). If errors continue, please visit the app’s “About” page within the “More” tab to find contact information for your local support center.

You can renew your ConnectedDrive services from the ConnectedDrive Store link which can be found after logging in to your account at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc or if you have already added your payment details online you can renew from within the car. Go to the ConnectedDrive menu, then ConnectedDrive Store and you can choose the service you wish to book and the subscription you would like to take out.

First, log in to the BMW ConnectedDrive Portal. Under "Add Vehicles" enter the last seven digits of your vehicle identification number and press "Add Vehicle". Following this a security code is sent to your vehicle. The security code is found in the menu under "Messages". The code must be entered in the portal in order to directly manage and edit your personalized services. In addition you wil receive an e-mail, confirming that the vehicle has been added to your customer account.

Via BMW ConnectedDrive you can set up external e-mail accounts in order to receive and answer e-mails from your vehicle. And even without being distracting while driving as the BMW e-mail service reads out the content of e-mails and enables you to answer qucikly by using prepared, short answertexts. Your e-mail account is comfortably configured via the BMW ConenctedDrive Portal. To do so select "Remote Cockpit" then "Control" and the "Set up email accounts". Here you are able to add your email account. Insert your user specific data and select an email provider. Certain settings options are then completed automatically.

If you currently do not have access data with BMW, please register on the website www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc with your e-mail address and select your personal password. A link which must be confirmed will then be sent to the respective e-mail address. Following this you just need to register your vehicle in the portal in order to directly manage your personalized services based on your needs.

In order to purchase services in the vehicle the following preparation is necessary: 1. Register for ConnectedDrive. This can either be done on your PC at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc or in the BMW ConnectedApp for Apple and Android. 2. Submit your complete address as well as the information of the credit card you wish to use to pay for the services at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc on your PC. 3. Map your vehicle to your ConnectedDrive Account. Now open the ConnectedDrive Store in your vehicle. Select the service you wish to purchase. For ID5/6: Now click on "Offers". The offer including runtime and prices is now shown. Choose the preferred offer and click on "Continue". You will now be redirected to the log in page. Log in with the e-Mail address that was used to create your ConnectedDrive Account and your password. Accept the terms and conditions and click on "Order with obligation to pay". For ID7: Here the offers including runtimes and prices are displayed. Choose the preferred offen and click on "Continue". If you are logged in with your diver profile you only have to accept the terms and conditions and click on"Order with obligation to pay". If you are not logged in with your driver profile you will be redirected to the log in page. Log in with the e-Mail address that was used to create your ConnectedDrive Account and your password. Accept the terms and conditions and click on "Order with obligation to pay".

Via www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc you can comfortably register and manage your personal data, vehicles as well as services. A seperate registration form is not necessary. The previously issued registrations expire with the end of the contract. The expiration date of a service can be found in the BMW ConnectedDrive Portal under "Booked Services".

The BMW ConnectedDrive Store accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards and Visa debit cards. We do not accept American Express at the current time. Purchases can be made online or in the BMW iDrive via the ConnectedDrive Store.

BMW ConnectedDrive Services are vehicle specific. If a vehicle is sold or changes owner previously booked services remain active until the expiration date. No reimbursement is possible for the remainder of the services' runtime. Your e-mail address is also your login name. The password has been personally selected by you and is not visible to us. Provided you have been using BMW ConnectedDrive for some time and have never logged in to the BMW ConnectedDrive Portal before, it is possbile to use your user name/vehicle login and the corresponding password to sign in. After logging in please make sure to submit an e-mail adress. Following this, your e-mail adress and the corresponding password respresent your new accessata for the customer portal.

This can be due to the following reasons:1. The Vehicleyou are using is not mapped to your ConnectedDrive account. First, map the vehicle to your account. You can do this either via the BMW Connected App or your PC at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc. 2. You have not submitted a complete address in your ConnectedDrive account. Submit your complete address on your PC at www.bwm-connecteddrive.nsc. 3. You have not provided a credit card in you ConnectedDrive account. Submit your credit card details of the card you wish to use to pay for services on your PC at www.bwm-connecteddrive.de. 4. In some few cases technical incidents can be the case. In this case try again later.

Please check the details entered for each individual query. Even slight discrepancies may cause the setup to fail. If necessary, carry out the following additional checks: 1. Please check whether the password might have been changed after your e-mail account was first set up and no longer matches the initial setup password in the documents from your e-mail provider. If you no longer know the current password, request a reset or ask for your password to be sent again. 2. Check whether POP3 or IMAP access is authorized and activated for your account. You can do this via the settings in your e-mail account. 3. Check whether two-step verification is active for your e-mail account. If this is the case, please deactivate this option with your e-mail provider. 4. Check whether the security settings of your e-mail account block access from third-party devices. Some providers require you to deactivate Captcha or allow access for less secure apps.

There are basically two different types of e-mail account. In the case of a "POP3" e-mail account, the messages are retrieved from the server and deleted from the server in the process. This means, for example, that you can no longer access these e-mails from a second computer. In the case of IMAP mailboxes, the e-mail messages are not deleted, but, instead, copies of them are stored in your e-mail program. You can link several e-mail programs with the mailbox. Changes are then replicated in every e-mail program and you can retrieve your e-mail messages as often as you wish.

In order to do so log in to www.bmw.routes.com with your BMW ConnectedDrive Portal access data. Then select "Plan your own routes". Via "Route criteria" you can individually plan your journey and also take the current traffic situation into account. Give your plannedroute a name and optionally insert a "route image" with a description. You are able to "touch" the Route with the mouse and individually edit the course of the route. Once you have planned your route you can directly send it into your BMW.

Yes, if your e-mail server supports the IMAP protocol. You can do this in your BMW ConnectedDrive portal by means of the "User defined" option in the "E-mail provider" field. The security settings of your company e-mail server may lead to restrictions in the transfer of data to your vehicle or cause problems with the certificate. If this is the case, please contact the e-mail administrator of your company.

The PIN-entry feature of the app is a good first step toward protecting your data. Beyond that, from the "Settings" menu within the "More" tab you can manage the app’s access permissions to various device functions. Additionally, at any time you can choose to delete all personal data from the app by going to the "Privacy and Terms" menu. BMW will not share your data with any third parties without your permission.
