When you login to your ConnectedDrive account at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc you will be able to see your BMW at the top of the screen and then on the right-hand column a list of currently active services and below this a link to services that are available to add to your BMW.
There are basically two different types of e-mail account. In the case of a "POP3" e-mail account, the messages are retrieved from the server and deleted from the server in the process. This means, for example, that you can no longer access these e-mails from a second computer. In the case of IMAP mailboxes, the e-mail messages are not deleted, but, instead, copies of them are stored in your e-mail program. You can link several e-mail programs with the mailbox. Changes are then replicated in every e-mail program and you can retrieve your e-mail messages as often as you wish.
Your e-mail address is also your login name. The password has been personally selected by you and is not visible to us. Provided you have been using BMW ConnectedDrive for some time and have never logged in to the BMW ConnectedDrive Portal before, it is possbile to use your user name/vehicle login and the corresponding password to sign in. After logging in please make sure to submit an e-mail adress. Following this, your e-mail adress and the corresponding password respresent your new accessata for the customer portal.
In order to purchase services in the vehicle the following preparation is necessary:
1. Register for ConnectedDrive. This can either be done on your PC at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc or in the BMW ConnectedApp for Apple and Android.
2. Submit your complete address as well as the information of the credit card you wish to use to pay for the services at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc on your PC.
3. Map your vehicle to your ConnectedDrive Account.
Now open the ConnectedDrive Store in your vehicle. Select the service you wish to purchase.
Now click on "Offers". The offer including runtime and prices is now shown. Choose the preferred offer and click on "Continue". You will now be redirected to the log in page. Log in with the e-Mail address that was used to create your ConnectedDrive Account and your password. Accept the terms and conditions and click on "Order with obligation to pay".
Here the offers including runtimes and prices are displayed. Choose the preferred offen and click on "Continue". If you are logged in with your diver profile you only have to accept the terms and conditions and click on"Order with obligation to pay". If you are not logged in with your driver profile you will be redirected to the log in page. Log in with the e-Mail address that was used to create your ConnectedDrive Account and your password. Accept the terms and conditions and click on "Order with obligation to pay".
The mobile network connection for this vehicle has been deactivated. To be able to use BMW ConnectedDrive in your vehicle again, please "Activate" your vehicle in the Settings / Manage vehicles menu or contact BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Support.
Please check the details entered for each individual query. Even slight discrepancies may cause the setup to fail. If necessary, carry out the following additional checks: 1. Please check whether the password might have been changed after your e-mail account was first set up and no longer matches the initial setup password in the documents from your e-mail provider. If you no longer know the current password, request a reset or ask for your password to be sent again. 2. Check whether POP3 or IMAP access is authorized and activated for your account. You can do this via the settings in your e-mail account. 3. Check whether two-step verification is active for your e-mail account. If this is the case, please deactivate this option with your e-mail provider. 4. Check whether the security settings of your e-mail account block access from third-party devices. Some providers require you to deactivate Captcha or allow access for less secure apps.
The BMW ConnectedDrive Store can be accessed via www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc and then clicking on the ConnectedDrive Store link. It is also available from the iDrive of your BMW under the BMW ConnectedDrive menu (For some BMW models this service is not available in the car).
We want to ensure that unauthorized persons can purchase ConnectedDrive Services in your name. Due to this you must log in before purchasing a service.
For the most recent iDrive system (ID7):
If you have logged in with your driver profile in your vehicle you do not need to login in again for every purchase as you are already logged in to the vehicle.
Direct access to the telematics data for your vehicle is not possible. However, you have the option of requesting a BMW CarData data archive for your vehicle at any time of your choice via the BMW ConnectedDrive customer portal. The BMW CarData data archive contains the most important telematics data that your vehicle transfers to BMW servers, along with the last value saved on the BMW server.
Only persons who require the information in order to provide BMW ConnectedDrive Services. The list of persons is checked on a regular basis. Data is only transmitted to BMW ConnectedDrive service providers to the extent in which it is necessary to operate the respective BMW ConnectedDrive Services. Data is exclusively used to provide the service and is deleted after use.
When adding your vehicle to your BMW ConnectedDrive Account, you have the option of entering your license plate number. In line with the Vehicle Identification Number entry the entry field for the license plate number can be found under "Vehicle description (e.g. number plate or short name)".
Order the BMW ConnectedDrive services as a special equipment option when you buy your new vehicle. For vehicles produced after July 2014, you will soon be able to book services of your choice in the BMW ConnectedDrive Store on the Internet or in your vehicle.
The purpose for which the requested telematics data are to be used and the contact data can be found in the BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Portal. In the event of questions please contact the third party/ service provider.
This can be due to the following reasons:1. The Vehicleyou are using is not mapped to your ConnectedDrive account. First, map the vehicle to your account. You can do this either via the BMW Connected App or your PC at www.bmw-connecteddrive.nsc.
2. You have not submitted a complete address in your ConnectedDrive account. Submit your complete address on your PC at www.bwm-connecteddrive.nsc.
3. You have not provided a credit card in you ConnectedDrive account. Submit your credit card details of the card you wish to use to pay for services on your PC at www.bwm-connecteddrive.de.
4. In some few cases technical incidents can be the case. In this case try again later.
